Three mothers connected by a lifelong thread, each has arrived at art-making
through distinct yet deeply resonant paths. During the COVID years, all three
were drawn into an intensive period of creative exploration that has since
evolved into committed contemporary practices.
Sheridan Rose (Buscombe) creates surreal narrative worlds through an eclectic
blend of delicate line-work and watercolour on paper, striking images created
with stencil and airbrush and acrylic paintings.
Chelsea Fox brings spirited and expressive characters to life through ceramic vessels and sculptural forms.
Melanie Faith Dove paints evocative scenes centred largely around motherhood, working across canvas and found objects.
Now emerging as artists in their fiftieth year, the trio share an unorthodox creative evolution that has matured significantly over the past six years.
Alongside their individual practices, they have found solidarity and momentum as a collective — supporting one another in bringing deeply personal and carefully developed works into a shared exhibition context. Each artist maintains a strong independent practice, driven by self-motivation, curiosity, and a commitment to transforming raw ideas into resolved and meaningful works.
