The Pleasant Hill Plein Air Painting Exhibition

Among other things, 2020 has been a year of innovation. Traditionally, the F Project closes each year with a fabulous celebration in the Fletcher Jones’ Gardens that includes markets, music, food and performances, but this year we’re doing things a bit differently. We’re holding our first Augmented Reality Exhibition!

Plein air artworks are currently on exhibition in the gardens, made visible through Augmented Reality technology. Using a recent model smartphone, you can see the artworks floating in the air in the garden where they were created!

It’s an exciting concept that allows you to view the exhibition in your own time, and in a pandemic safe manner. Simply look for the QR codes positioned in the gardens (as per the below map) and scan them with your phone camera. Your web browser will open and in a few seconds the artwork painted on site will appear!

Artists had until midnight on November 15 to create their artwork.

-       The Prizes went to; $1,000 First Prize - Irene Crusca, $500 Second Prize - Caroline Healey, $250 Third Prize - Liz Gannon. The Youth (under 18) Prize was a tiebreaker between Maeve Lindsay and Rosie Moloney, who each receive $125. Prizes kindly donated by the Fletcher Jones Family Foundations.
