'Ethos'....
I have always maintained that I prefer the visual to describe the response of my heart and soul to nature, the environment, and my intuition. For myself, words simply don't suffice. I feel that colour, form, and texture resonate with my viewers. I am hoping to describe the response to my life. An acknowledgement I find inspirational! I definitely appreciate all forms of creative endeavour, but the visual is my distinctive, favoured, and heartfelt reaction to my surroundings and emotions. Painting and drawing feel like a solid, internal knowing to my experience of life. My 'Ethos', which hopefully reverberates with my audience.
Some meanings of ethos are the spirit of the time. A rhetorical appeal that relies on the character or credibility of an artist. A way of expressing something that is characteristic of a particular person! Thanks,
